Science Express - Biodiversity Special, is a collaborative initiative of Department of Science &
Technology (DST) and Ministry of Environment & Forests (MoEF), Govt. of India.
It is unique science exhibition focusing on biodiversity and climate change, mounted on a customized 16 coach AC train. With over 75 lakh visitors at its 250 halts since its launch in October 2007, Science Express is now the largest, longest and most visited mobile science exhibition in India. After the successful run over four phases, this train has now been launched as Science Express - Biodiversity Special (SEBS). In the current phase from 5 June 2012 to 13 January 2013, SEBS will travel to 57 locations across India. The state-of-the-art exhibition aboard the SEBS aims to create awareness about the biodiversity of India, climate change and similar issues among students, teachers and the general public.
